This website presents the books of Mr Schaka. It sells some ebooks directly through the Payhip shop and does not require an account.

If you write to contact@mrschaka.com, your email address and your message are used only to reply to you and are never passed on to third parties.
Audience measurement
To find out which pages are read, the website uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd), installed through the Site Kit plugin. Google Analytics only sets cookies after you have given your consent in the consent banner. Without your consent, no analytics data is stored on your device. The website also counts visits statistically with Jetpack (Automattic), to measure overall traffic.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
Some pages show ads provided by Google AdSense (Google Ireland Ltd). Google may use cookies to show ads based on your interests and to measure their performance. These advertising cookies are only set with your consent, given in the consent banner. Without consent, the ads shown are not personalised. Learn more about how Google uses advertising cookies. Ebook purchases (Payhip)
Ebooks sold directly are paid for and delivered by Payhip (United Kingdom), with payment providers such as Stripe. When you buy, Payhip receives your email address, country and payment details, under its own privacy policy. Mr Schaka only receives your email address, the title bought and the amount, to follow up the order, and never has access to your card details. The rules of sale are set out in the terms of sale.

Subscribing to articles
If you subscribe to receive new articles, your email address is managed by Jetpack’s subscription service (Automattic). It is used only to send you the articles. Every email contains a link to unsubscribe.
Languages
The English, Thai, Hindi and Chinese versions of the website are pre-translated pages hosted on this site. When you switch language, no text is sent to a translation service.
Hosting
Like any web host, OVH SAS (Roubaix, France) may keep technical connection logs (IP address, date, page viewed) to ensure the security of the service.

“Thaïlande en poche” app (web and Android)
The app requires no account and collects no personal data. Your favourites, your chosen language and destination, your travel journal (notes and photos) and your stamps are stored only on your phone. The app uses no advertising. It only sends anonymous usage statistics (chosen language and destination, sections opened, links tapped), with no cookies, no identifier and no personal data, so we know which sections are useful. These statistics are sent encrypted and are never shared or sold. Your position is only used when you ask for it (“Near me” or checking a visit for the game), and only on your phone: it is never stored or sent. Only the result of the check (yes or no) and its date are kept on the phone. To show the exchange rate and air quality, it queries public services (open.er-api.com, air4thai.com) without sending them any information about you. The Google Maps, Grab, Bolt, Booking, Agoda, 12Go, GetYourGuide, TripAdvisor and Payhip buttons open those services, which then apply their own privacy policies.

In accordance with the GDPR, you may request access to, rectification of or deletion of your data by writing to contact@mrschaka.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Belgium).
